Join Army Veteran and Paralympian Lia Coryell for an archery workout!
Adaptive archer Lia Coryell is one Paralympian that sets the bar high. In her own words, “the world’s oldest Private;” she is no stranger to adversity. Within the first six months of military service as a truck driver, Coryell broke her leg. In an odd twist of fate, she never recovered the nerves in her foot. Doctor’s later discovered the root of the damage; Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Coryell is not someone to be beaten by life’s events; she is someone that utilises her situation and fights on through!
Shifting from patient to athlete was a turning point for Coryell, and thankfully Team USA now has an incredible player in their midst. Coryell is a fighter and an inspiring mentor. Challenged by her own physical and emotional injuries, Coryell found an affinity with other veterans and seeks to inspire them too.
